IXON has announced the launch of the world’s first line of ambient fresh Tianma (Chinese orchid root) products. The groundbreaking new line will make its official debut with exclusive free tastings at the upcoming HKTDC Food Expo PRO, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from August 13–15, 2026.

Historically revered in traditional medicine, the orchid root is notoriously difficult to process without destroying its delicate texture and potent nutritional profile. Conventional shelf-stable products rely on extreme high-heat retort sterilization, which completely degrades the root into a soft, nutrient-depleted mush.

Leveraging IXON’s proprietary Advanced Sous-vide Aseptic Packaging (ASAP) technology, the company has successfully bypassed the need for retort processing. For the first time ever, consumers can enjoy shelf-stable Tianma that fully retains the refreshing, nashi pear-like crunchy texture of the freshly harvested plant, without the need for refrigeration.

The new product line features two flagship offerings:

  • Orchid Root in Osmanthus Honey: A ready-to-eat, delicately sweet delicacy showcasing the root's signature crunch.

  • Sweet Orchid Cream: A delicious, versatile blend of orchid root with condensed milk and coconut oil, resulting in an innovative cream as smooth as traditional lotus seed paste but significantly lighter.
