IXON Selected as Sole Asian Startup for Scrum Ventures' Global "Hokkaido F Village X" Accelerator
IXON is thrilled to announce its selection for the second cohort of the "Hokkaido F Village X" (HFX) global accelerator program. Organized by the venture capital firm Scrum Ventures and its subsidiary Scrum Studio, the program is based at the Hokkaido Ballpark F Village in Kitahiroshima City, Japan.
The HFX program is highly competitive, attracting 245 startup applications from 36 countries for its second year. IXON is deeply honored to be chosen as one of just eight participating global startups, and proudly stands as the only selected company representing Asia.
Felix Cheung, founder and CEO of IXON, pitched IXON’s proprietary advanced sous-vide aseptic packaging (ASAP) and PhantomCure technology directly to major Japanese corporations, municipal partners, media, and investors. During his presentation, Felix outlined IXON's ambitious roadmap for the region: initiating a localized pilot project with the ultimate goal of establishing a state-of-the-art food processing hub in Hokkaido. This hub would empower local agriculture by allowing premium Hokkaido produce to be exported globally without the need for an expensive cold chain.
To demonstrate the real-world capabilities of IXON's technology—which achieves long-term preservation without preservatives or refrigeration while retaining taste, texture, and nutritional value—Felix hosted an exclusive tasting of the company's latest product development: ambient fresh fruit corn.
The demonstration was a resounding success. Media representatives, investors, and corporate partners were amazed by the exceptional juiciness and crunchiness of the corn, proving that shelf-stable food can deliver the exact same sensory experience as freshly harvested produce.
“Hokkaido produces some of the best food coming out of Japan, from corn, asparagus, potato, dairy, salmon to scallops,” says Felix. “We want to help farmers and agricultural processors export their best products worldwide without relying on a costly cold chain.”
