Future of Food Preservation: IXON's Showcase at "Innovative Pathway" Exhibition
IXON proudly participated in the opening ceremony of the "Innovative Pathway: Hong Kong's New Era of Industry" exhibition at the Hong Kong Science Museum on Friday, April 11, 2025. The exhibition, which showcases Hong Kong's most innovative technologies and industrial advancements, was officially inaugurated by Ms. Manda Chan Wing-man, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, along with Mr. Steve Chuang Tzu-hsiung, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.
The prestigious exhibition features IXON's revolutionary Advanced Sous-vide Aseptic Packaging (ASAP) technology, highlighting it as a breakthrough innovation in food preservation that allows food to be stored at room temperature without refrigeration or preservatives for up to two years.
"This exhibition not only showcases technological innovation achievements but also promotes research culture and science education. We hope visitors, especially young people, can experience the limitless possibilities of technological development through the exhibits and interactive experiences, developing innovative thinking for the future and seizing the development opportunities brought by Hong Kong's technological innovation," said Ms. Chan in her opening speech.
"The theme of this exhibition, 'Creating the Future,' precisely reflects the new direction of Hong Kong's industries. Through our five main exhibition zones, we aim to show the public Hong Kong's latest developments in innovation, technology, and new industries. This exhibition serves as an important platform for the younger generation to understand the future of innovation and technology. Hong Kong's future development depends most critically on talent and STEM education, which will be essential for our continued growth in the innovation and technology sectors," said Mr. Chuang during the ceremony.
Visitors to the exhibition can view IXON's display featuring various shelf-stable foods preserved with the company's proprietary technology, including roasted spring chicken, dumplings, and prawns – all maintained at ambient temperature while preserving restaurant-quality taste and texture.
The "Innovative Pathway" exhibition will run from April 11 to July 2, 2025, at the Hong Kong Science Museum and is accessible to all visitors of the permanent exhibitions without additional fees. The exhibition is organized into five main zones: Industrial Revolution, Industry 4.0, Research and Development, Smart Manufacturing, and Vision 2030.
IXON於2025年4月11日(星期五)參與了香港科學館「創·造未來:香港工業新時代」展覽的開幕典禮。這次展示香港最創新技術和工業進步的展覽由康樂及文化事務署署長陳詠雯女士JP,聯同香港工業總會主席莊子雄先生共同主持開幕儀式。
這場盛大展覽展示了IXON革命性的「先進低溫真空無菌包裝」(ASAP)技術,突顯其作為食品保存方面的突破性創新,使食品無需冷藏或防腐劑即可在室溫下保存長達兩年。
「這次展覽不僅展示科技創新成果,更推動科研文化和科普教育。我們希望參觀者,特別是年輕人,能夠從展品和互動體驗中感受科技發展的無限可能,發展面向未來的創新思維,把握香港科技創新所帶來的發展機遇,」陳女士在開幕致辭中表示。
「是次展覽的主題『創造未來』正正反映香港工業的新方向。我們透過五個主要展區,向公眾展示香港在創新科技和新型工業的最新發展。這個展覽作為一個重要平台,讓年輕一代了解創科的未來。香港未來的發展最需要人才和STEM教育,這對於我們在創新和科技領域的持續發展至關重要,」莊先生在儀式上說道。
參觀者可以在展覽中看到IXON展示的各種以公司專利技術保存的常溫食品,包括無菌包裝烤春雞、餃子和蝦等,這些食品在室溫下保存的同時能保持餐廳級別的口感和質量。
「創·造未來」展覽將於2025年4月11日至7月2日在香港科學館舉行,常設展覽廳參觀人士不另收費。展覽分為五個主要區域:工業革命、工業4.0、研發、智能製造及2030願景。
